Choosing a beautiful engagement ring like this

would be sure to please even the most discerning woman.

So how do you work out a balance between choosing a ring which your fiancee will wear with joy, love and pride every day, and spending an inordinate amount which will put your budget into crisis and your stress levels into overload?

As a helpful guide, etiquette experts suggest two month's salary is a reasonable amount to spend on an engagement ring. Of course, if you can afford to spend more, there are not too many women who would argue with you!

Some couples regard jewelry as an investment, choosing top-quality gems which will appreciate in value. Others are less concerned with the intrinsic value and go for something which will make a bold statement about their taste and fashion style.

Once you have decided on a price range, the next decision is where to buy? The local jewelry store or the world-wide web? Personal service or the convenience and huge choice offered online?

And what about all the other decisions - platinum or yellow gold, solitaire or a cluster, diamonds or emeralds, prong or bezel set. The decisions can seem overwhelming, but breathe easy, we have the perfect solution.

Once you've made your decision about the type of engagement ring you want, buying online can be as simple or as romantic as you want it to be. You could make a quick decision before rushing off to work or you could make it a day to remember by fixing a delicious candlelit dinner at home, choosing your ring online, then celebrating with champagne and red roses.

For great places to shop for your engagement ring, we suggest you visit Jared or Reed Jewelers for engagement ring stores online.
Whether he gets down on one knee or you go on a joint shopping adventure, remember that your engagement ring is given and received with love, honor and respect.

  1. for some reason I'm always concerned about that whole ring choosing...what if the dude has no idea what type of ring the girl likes...do you get excited abt the proposal and then quickly add that you don't like the ring or just act like you love love it...lol
